Scope of Work
This opportunity seeks capabilities for the supply, installation, and testing of a stainless-steel pipeline. The pipeline is critical for the DUNE experiment, facilitating the transport of approximately 40,000 metric tons of Argon from the surface to the Central Utility Cavern (CUC) at the 4850 Level. Liquid Argon will be received at the Ross Shaft Argon Receiving station, stored, converted to gaseous phase, and then transported. The pipeline will consist of:
- 8-inch diameter Schedule 10 pipe between the Argon Receiving Facility and the Ross shaft.
- 6-inch diameter Schedule 10 pipe from the Ross shaft collar to the 4850 Level.
- Return to 8-inch diameter Schedule 10 pipe from the Ross shaft to the CUC.
