Argonne is exploring the breadth and depth of capabilities of a commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) system to replace the current Prism system. The Prism Replacement System will be a comprehensive, centralized system that will collect, process, and manage data related to assessments and performance improvement activities. The system will be able to fully integrate with Argonne’s current applications – both commercial and custom products – and will result in the consolidation of multiple systems, thereby reducing technical debt. It will improve efficiency, facilitate reporting, and provide simplicity and transparency for users and staff.
Our Prism solution serves as the tool for managing Argonne National Laboratory’s assessments program and performance improvement program. Argonne’s assessments program exists to confirm that its programs, activities, processes, and operations meet or exceed customer expectations, contractual requirements, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. The replacement should serve assessors with planning, tracking, recording, and analyzing outcomes of assessments.
The Prism Replacement System must ensure governance, safety, and security of identity management for people associated with the Laboratory. In addition, implementation of a new centralized system will improve the experience of all Argonne internal and external customers by providing improvements with numerous features and services that streamline the management of assessments and performance improvement activities.
The Prism Replacement System must support multiple data flows as determined by the purpose for assessments, type of access needed, and user roles. Additional algorithms will also be needed to collect and analyze data for performance improvement activities. This information is considered personal identifiable information (PII) and must be protected.
