• Packaging, Packing and Marking (Section D):

  • Preparation for Delivery: Boots shall be unit packaged in a one-piece style set-up box (fancy, not plain), with tissue or kraft paper separating the pair. A company name or logo may be added.
  • Packing Instructions: Six (6) pairs of boots of the same size and width shall be packed in a fiberboard shipping container conforming to Type CF (Variety SW) or CF, Class Domestic, Grade 275 of ASTM D5118/D5118M. Closure shall be in accordance with ASTM D1974.

This is a pre-solicitation notice/synopsis for the procurement of Army Hot Weather-Fire Resistant Safety Boots for Men. The requirement is a 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside.

• The contract will be a Firm Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Type Contract.

• The contract will consist of a three-year base term with tiered pricing for each year.

• Boots are to be manufactured in accordance with salient characteristics and specifications in Sections C & D (attached).

• Production lead time for special measurements is 21 days for recruit orders and 60 days for non-recruit orders.

• Production lead time for tariff sizes is 180 days.

• Delivery will be FOB destination to Pendergrass Distribution Center, GA.

• Three-year base term with tiered pricing.
