Quick Summary
The Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) for Artificial Intelligence Test, Evaluation, Verification, and Validation (TEVV) Capability. This RFI seeks industry best practices, innovative approaches, and state-of-the-art tooling to establish a robust, scalable, and sustainable AI TEVV capability within the Defense Intelligence Enterprise (DIE), accelerating AI adoption and ensuring trustworthiness. This is for planning purposes only and is not a solicitation.
Scope of Interest
DIA is exploring methods to develop standardized, scalable, and measurable TEVV metrics and improve existing TEVV frameworks. The agency requires concepts that provide enterprise-level standardization with flexibility for mission-specific validation, minimizing duplication. Effective AI TEVV must address a spectrum of system types supporting analysis, collection, operations, targeting, and business management. Solutions must account for testing across multiple security domains (NIPRNET, SIPRNET, JWICS) and classification levels, incorporating automation for continuous testing throughout the AIEC lifecycle. Capabilities must align with applicable policies (ICDs, DoDMs, DoDIs) and incorporate traditional DT&E/OT&E best practices, as well as AI-specific guidance.
