Scope of Work
The contractor will provide a 5-day initial training course for Asbestos Contractor/Supervisor in the Japanese language. The training must enable students to pass the certification exam and cover topics mandated by EPA regulation 40 CFR 763, including physical characteristics of asbestos, health effects, PPE, work practices, hygiene, safety hazards, medical and air monitoring, regulatory requirements, respiratory protection, insurance, recordkeeping, and supervisory techniques. Contractor personnel must be accredited Asbestos Training Instructors with relevant experience and strong communication skills. Practical training satisfying Navy requirements and supplemental translations for English terms are also required.

Eligibility & Submission
This is an UNRESTRICTED acquisition. Offerors must be duly authorized to operate and do business in Japan, as prescribed by DFARS 252.225-7042. Prime Contractors outside of Japan must submit documentation demonstrating compliance with this DFARS clause. Submissions must include a signed SF 1449, a price breakdown, and a published price list (if available).
