Quick Summary
The Department of the Air Force, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) & Special Operations Forces (SOF) Directorate, is conducting market research through a Request for Information (RFI) for Attritable ISR Aircraft. The objective is to identify industry capabilities for low-cost, attritable unmanned airborne platforms to provide ISR mass for operational utility and suitability in a rapid and affordable manner. This RFI is for market research only and will not result in a contract award. Responses are due May 1, 2026.
Scope of Work
The government is seeking information on solutions for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) that are attritable (closer to expendable with limited reusability and lower cost) and capable of collecting Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR), full-motion video (FMV), and signal detection/characterization data. All collected data must support processing, exploitation, and dissemination (PED) based multidimensional information fusion. Key Performance Parameters (KPPs) and Key System Attributes (KSAs) are detailed for aspects such as range, loiter time, cruise altitude, speed, operational environment, integration, communications, navigation, command and control, on-board processing, ground control station, and various sensors. Respondents should also address capabilities in holistic maintenance concepts, supply support (including SCRM), and technical data.
