- Technical Area 2 (TA2): Microbots – Develop untethered, autonomous surgical microbots (200 nm to 2 cm) for interventional procedures such as tissue extraction/biopsy, energy delivery, cargo delivery, or tissue destruction.

Eligibility & Evaluation
Eligibility: All responsible sources, including universities, non-profit organizations, and small/other than small businesses, are eligible. Federally Funded Research and Development Centers (FFRDCs), other Government entities, and entities with organizational conflicts of interest (OCI) are prohibited. Awards will prioritize entities conducting funded work in the United States. Evaluation Criteria: Proposals will be assessed based on 1) Overall Scientific and Technical Merit, 2) Proposer's Capabilities and/or Related Experience, and 3) Assessment of Proposed Cost/Price.
Additional Notes
Proposers must have an active SAM.gov registration. ARPA-H encourages high-risk, high-reward proposals and includes FDA collaboration for regulatory assessment.
