Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To repair and reinforce a storm-damaged corrugated metal shade cover at the Imperial National Wildlife Refuge Automotive Repair Shop, restoring its structural integrity and functional weather protection.

• Replace one damaged 12'4" x 3"x3" steel post at the northwest corner.

• Reuse all remaining structurally sound existing posts.

• Remove and dispose of all damaged roofing materials, steel members, and associated debris.

• Replace all existing 7-inch I-beams with new structural steel members of equal or greater load rating.

• Install new corrugated metal roofing panels matching or exceeding existing gauge and profile.

• Ensure proper fastening, overlapping, and weather-tight installation of roofing panels.

• Perform necessary welding, cutting, grinding, and structural alignment.

• Apply corrosion protection and paint to all new steel components to match existing finish.

• Ensure the structure is plumb, level, and capable of withstanding typical regional wind loads.

• All work must comply with applicable building codes, OSHA safety standards, and accepted industry practices for structural steel and roofing systems.

• Work site: Imperial NWR, 12812 N. Wildlife Way, Yuma, AZ 85365.

• Completion: Within 30 days After Receipt of Order (ARO).

• Normal duty hours: Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM.

• Contractor must be licensed, bonded, and insured in Arizona.

• Contractor must have experience in structural steel and metal roofing installation/repair, including welding, fabrication, and erection.

• Contractor shall provide a site-specific safety plan, proof of insurance and bonding, and an equipment operation/lifting plan if applicable.

• Contractor shall provide product data for materials, paint/coating specifications, and installation methodology.

• Contractor shall provide photos of demolition, installation, and completed work, along with material receipts or certifications upon request.

• Contractor shall provide warranty documentation and obtain final inspection/approval.

• Contractor shall coordinate directly with the Government representative, schedule work at least 48 hours in advance, minimize disruption, and ensure safe work zones.

• Government acceptance is contingent upon compliance with codes, proper installation, quality workmanship, timely completion, and debris removal.

• Acceptance criteria include: properly installed new steel post and I-beams, securely installed weather-tight roofing panels, corrosion protection on steel components, stable and level structure, clean site, and submission of all required documentation.
