To enhance the safety, accessibility, and functionality of the Child Development Center's (CDC) exterior areas by replacing deteriorated concrete surfaces, repairing uneven walkways, and improving the clarity and organization of the parking lot.

• Replacement of approximately 1800 SF of concrete slabs in the playground area.

• Removal and replacement of a wooden grate section in the walkway with concrete.

• Repair of existing uneven paver tiles to eliminate trip hazards.

• Re-striping of the parking lot, including designation of four (4) parking spots (one handicap accessible) and six (6) "15 MINUTE PARKING" spots.

• All concrete work to be completed in accordance with American Concrete Institute (ACI) standards.

• Parking lot striping layout to be in accordance with UFC 3-200-10N.

• Completion no later than 90 days after notice to proceed.

• Place of performance: Defense Supply Center Richmond (DSCR), Richmond, Virginia.

• Child Development Center operates 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Work to be completed during these hours.

• Parking lot striping and blacking out must be performed on weekends (Saturday and Sunday).

• Use of wet concrete saw required for saw cutting.

• Use of 3000psi ready-mix concrete with specific air entrainment (4.5%-7%) and slump (4" +/- 1"). Macro synthetic fibers required; WWF is not to be used.

• Contractor must provide mix design for approval before pouring.

• Third-party testing of concrete (slump, air content) required during pour.

• Contractor must cure all newly poured concrete.

• Bobcat-sized machine and Georgia-type buggies must fit through the double gate; contractor to confirm dimensions.

• All removed soil, concrete, and debris must be disposed of off-site.

• Backfill excavated areas with clean topsoil, then apply seed and straw.

• Repair any damaged areas to original or better condition.

• Contractor must demonstrate a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in similar projects.

• Quality Control System Manager must be onsite when work is performed.
