Scope of Work

The contractor will provide all supervision, labor, materials, and equipment to prepare for and complete the installation of new flooring. This includes:

• Site Preparation: Moving furniture, removal and proper disposal of existing carpet, and subfloor preparation (patching and leveling with Feather Finish compound).
• Material Installation: Installation of Shaw Carpet Tile, Tarkett VCT, and Johnsonite 6" cove base. Specific material requirements include commercial-grade modular carpet tile (heavy commercial traffic rated, pressure-sensitive adhesive), VCT for utility/common areas, and 6-inch commercial-grade cove base. Heavy-duty rubber, slip-resistant stair nosing is also required.
• Site Protection & Cleanup: Protecting existing property, maintaining a clean work area, and proper disposal of old flooring and waste.
• Performance Standards: Materials must be highly durable, withstand heavy foot traffic, have excellent adhesion, and be resistant to chipping and scuffing. Low-odor and low-Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) materials are preferred. Workmanship must adhere to manufacturer instructions and best practices, with minimal disruption to 24/7 operations. The contractor is responsible for correcting any deficiencies at no additional cost.
