• Mezzanine Height: The height to the bottom of the mezzanine slab from the finished floor is confirmed to be 20' 4-1/2" (within 2 inches in all locations).
• Lift Equipment: The government cannot confirm if contractor-supplied lift equipment will fit; it is the contractor's responsibility to select a lift that functions within the available space. Photos are provided for reference.
• Access Below Work Area: All government equipment below the mezzanine will be removed before work commences.
• Welding Inspection: The contractor is required to provide an independent Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) for AWS D1.1 inspections and sign-offs.
• As-Built Prints: The contractor is not required to provide updated engineered drawings or as-builts; the government will update construction drawings as needed.

Amendment / Modification

• A site visit has been scheduled for 12 May 2026 at 0900 at Pease ANGB to allow interested offerors to view the facility where the mezzanine will be installed.

• The Government will not respond to questions during the site visit; questions should be submitted to the POCs listed in the solicitation.

• The RFI period has been extended from 5 May 2026 to 15 May 2026 to accommodate RFIs resulting from the site visit.

• This amendment pertains to the site visit arrangements and RFI period.

• Interested parties wishing to attend the site visit must submit attendee names and contact information by 4:00 PM on 8 May 2026 to Casey Pridham (casey.a.pridham.mil@army.mil) and Matthew Lapointe (matthew.r.lapointe.civ@army.mil).

• Attendees must arrive at the North Gate at Pease approximately 15 minutes before the event.

Statement of Work (SOW)

This SOW defines the project-specific scope and technical requirements for the delivery and installation of a steel substructure to reinforce the mechanical mezzanine at Building 254.

• The project involves adding three (3) C-channel steel beams to support an existing equipment housekeeping slab, which was found to exceed the mezzanine slab's design capacity.

• The new beams will be installed under the slab and welded to existing 24WF94 and 10WF25 members.

• The contractor is responsible for fabricating structural members and connections, ensuring proper fit and finish.

• All work must conform to AWS D1.1:2025 standards.

• Welded areas must be prepped, and surfaces coated to match existing conditions post-installation.

• Normal project work hours are Monday through Friday, 0600-1530.

• Work outside normal hours or on Federal holidays requires written approval from the COR at least 72 hours in advance.

• No work is permitted on Federal holidays or Drill weekends.

• The contractor must obtain a hot work permit from the Pease Fire Department within 10 days of contract award.

• The contractor must submit all necessary documentation for base access and badging within 10 days of contract award.

• The Government will provide access to available utilities; any specific utilities not present are the contractor's responsibility.

• Badging and Base Access Documentation: Due no later than 10 days after contract award.

• Hot work permit documentation: Due no later than 10 days after contract award.
