Quick Summary

The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Weapons Support (Richmond) is conducting market research through a Sources Sought Notice to identify companies capable of manufacturing or legitimately obtaining five National Stock Numbers (NSNs). These items are currently sole-sourced to BOEING (CAGE 0PXV4). This notice aims to determine if other companies can meet the technical requirements and become approved sources. Responses are due by April 8, 2026.

Scope of Work

DLA Weapons Support is seeking potential manufacturers or legitimate suppliers for five specific NSNs. The primary objective is to expand the supplier base beyond the current sole source, Boeing. Companies interested in supplying these items must demonstrate their ability to meet the required specifications. NSNs found not to be sole source will not be considered for future procurement under this Sources Sought.

Source Approval Request (SAR)

For companies not currently an approved source, Government Source Approval is required prior to any potential award. Interested parties must submit a Source Approval Request (SAR) package. A SAR package must contain all technical data necessary to prove the contractor can competently manufacture the product to the same or higher quality level as the currently approved item. The onus is on the contractor to document and demonstrate this capability.

To submit a SAR, email dlaavnsmallbus@dla.mil with the subject line "Request a SAR Drop Off". Include your CAGE code, the relevant NSN, and the email address for receiving a DoDSafe link, which will be used for secure SAR file submission.
