Scope of Work
The selected contractor will furnish all labor, supervision, materials, and equipment necessary for potable water testing. This includes:
- Microbial Testing: Legionella (monthly, specific sites, CDC ELITE certified lab), bacteria (monthly, Buildings 1, 3, 14, using EPA's Quick Guide).
- Chemical Testing: Disinfection byproducts (DBPs) (annual, specific sites per DDW-2021 plan), lead & copper (per LCR plan), and other water quality parameters (e.g., PFAS).
- Sample Collection: Contractor staff, who must be Certified Water Operators, will collect samples at the George E. Wahlen Veterans Medical Center using contractor-provided bottles.
- Laboratory Analysis: Samples will be delivered to the contractor's lab for testing. Utah certified labs are required for DBPs, total coliform, and lead/copper. A CDC ELITE certified lab within 500 miles is required for Legionella testing.
- Reporting: All test results must be emailed to the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR). Specific templates are required for Legionella data (Attachment E). Results for DBPs, total coliform, and lead/copper must also be submitted to the Utah Division Drinking Water via the Compliance Monitoring Data Portal. The contractor will also support the Annual Drinking Water Quality Consumer Confidence Report.
