Scope of Work
The contractor will provide all necessary plant, labor, equipment, transportation, and tools to complete the project. Key aspects include:
- Full carpet replacement with Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) for the OSI section of B926.
- Replacement of approximately 230 sqft of carpet tile with new carpet tile.
- Demolition of a wall between two existing rooms.
- Work must be performed in phases to maintain security of the area.
- Adherence to the Statement of Work (SOW), Concept Design Drawings, AF requirements, and all applicable codes.
Specific Material Standards:
- LVT: Commercial grade with a 22 mm wear layer, waterproof, scratch-resistant, ADA slip resistance, and low VOC adhesive.
- Carpet Tile: Green label plus, NSF/ANSI 140 Gold Level Certification, max pile height of ½", compliant with ASTM D-1335, 16 CFR 1630, and CRI 104. Requires low VOC adhesive and a 15-year performance warranty.
- Government will select LVT, carpet tile, and cove base colors after contractor submittal of physical samples.
Phased Execution: The project is divided into three phases, involving specific rooms for LVT and carpet tile installation, 6" rubber cove base, and wall demolition. Certain areas (e.g., Room 204, 220, 220A) will require escort from facility users. The contractor is responsible for design, coordination, and required submittals (35%, 95%, 100%). A preconstruction conference and weekly progress meetings are mandatory.
