• Information Security: Vendor must comply with VA standard operating procedures, contract language, laws, and regulations regarding LAN/Internet, data, information, and system security. Firewalls and web servers must meet or exceed minimum government requirements. All government data must be protected. Vendor must follow VA policies and procedures for information security, including those pertaining to certification and accreditation, and VAAR-852.273-75.

• Contract Personnel Security: All contractor employees requiring access to VA computer systems must undergo a background investigation and receive a favorable adjudication from the VA Security and Investigations Center (07C) per VA Directive 0710. Forms are to be completed and returned within 30 days of contract award. If clearance is not completed by the start date, employees may work under contractor responsibility, with the contractor liable for any damages arising from their actions.
