Scope of Sale
This solicitation is for the sale of a minimum of 100,000 pounds of Baled Old Corrugated Containers (OCC). The material must not exceed 5% foreign matter (prohibitive material and out throws). The sale term is for one year. The Government reserves the right to vary the quantity tendered or delivered to the Purchaser by 10% when sold by weight.
Buyer Responsibilities
The successful bidder will be responsible for loading, securing, and transporting the material from MCAS Beaufort. This includes providing DOT-approved trucks with control devices to prevent spillage and complying with all DOT containment, vehicle, and weight transportation requirements. Buyers must also adhere to all applicable safety, fire, environment, and OSHA laws, as well as state/local safety and licensing, and MCAS Beaufort access policies. Transportation is at no charge to the Government. The buyer assumes total responsibility and liability of the material once in their possession.
Property Inspection & Location
Prospective buyers are strongly encouraged to inspect the property before bidding. Appointments can be scheduled by calling 843-228-6458. The material is currently stored at Bldg. 1205 NREAO Facility on Noisemaker Rd., MCAS Beaufort, SC. This location is subject to change.
Submission & Payment
Bids must be received by the Bid Deadline: March 26, 2026, at 2:00 PM EST. Submissions can be mailed, emailed to elon.wenrick@usmc.mil, or hand-delivered to: Commanding Officer, Attn: NREAO/Recycle, P.O. Box 55001, MCAS Beaufort SC. 29904. The Bid Submission Form (Solicitation Number MBF2026003) must be completed, including the bid amount per pound and bidder information. Payment will be invoiced after pickup and is due within 45 days of invoice receipt, payable to the U.S. Treasury via Certified Check or Postal Money Order. Billing weights will be based on QRP's certified scales.
Pickup Procedures
The successful bidder must schedule pickup and arrange for weigh-in/weigh-out at an MCAS certified scale. Collection hours are 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Tuesday – Friday, excluding Federal holidays. Original weight tickets must be provided to MCAS Beaufort-QRP.
