Scope of Work

• First Article Approval—Contractor Testing (FAT): Required, with submission within 30 days after contract award and review within 180 days (60 days if prior approval is submitted). Re-certification of FAT and process control plans is required every 5 years.
• Quality Assurance: Adherence to ISO-9001, ISO-10012, ANSI-Z540.3, ISO-17025, or MIL-I-45208/MIL-STD-45662. The contractor's quality system is subject to government evaluation.
• Certification & Traceability: Extensive certification for chemical and mechanical properties, process control plans, and qualification plans. Strict material traceability from raw material to finished component, including permanent and temporary marking in accordance with MIL-STD-792 and other standards.
• Inspection: No Government source inspection; inspection and acceptance will occur at destination. 100% inspection of material verification data, traceability, and nondestructive test (NDT) certifications.
