• Past Performance: Requests examples of satisfactory performance for similar work within the last three years.
• Product Capability: Asks if the company can provide the product and to explain how.
• NAICS/FSC/PSC Recommendations: Seeks industry input on appropriate North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) and Federal Supply Classification (FSC) / Product and Service Code (PSC) codes.
• Logistics: Inquires about pickup and delivery processes and requirements (e.g., delivery time).
• Cost Estimation: Asks about the standards used for cost estimation and the estimated costs for the described work.
• Customer Requirements: Seeks information on usual customer requirements and qualifications.
• Risk Assessment: Requests comments on potential technical, cost, schedule, or performance risks.
• Capability Statement: Asks for a brief description of how the company would meet requirements upon contract award.

This questionnaire is crucial for potential bidders to:

• Understand the type of information the government is seeking to inform their market research.
• Assess their own company's suitability and capabilities against the implied requirements.
• Provide valuable input that could shape the final solicitation and contract terms.
• Highlight their company's strengths and potential concerns directly to the government.

Sources Sought / RFI

This notice is a Sources Sought/Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Keyport. The purpose is to conduct market research to identify potential sources capable of providing "Base Assemblies." This is not a solicitation, and no contract award will be considered at this time.

• Solicitation Number: THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME
• Requisition Number: RFISS – 160 BASE ASSEMBLIES
• Action: Market research to identify interested parties and capabilities.
• Deliverables: The request references attached drawings (RFISS-160 Drawing Package 3235022) and potentially a statement of work, though the primary focus is on identifying capability for "Base Assemblies."
• Response Required: A "Questions for Industry" questionnaire must be completed and returned via email to brook.m.smith.civ@us.navy.mil by the specified response date and time.
• Voluntary Submission: Submission of information is purely voluntary. The government will not pay for any costs incurred in responding.
• No Commitment: This RFI does not commit the government to a contract or to paying for any information submitted.

To view the associated drawings, bidders must request access via SAM. This will trigger an automated email to the Contract Specialist. To ensure approval, a completed DD Form 2345 must be submitted via email to the point of contact.

• Do not include classified, controlled unclassified, or arms export controlled documents.
• Adherence to Operations Security (OPSEC) requirements is mandatory.
• The government may not respond to specific questions or comments submitted.
• If a solicitation is issued in the future, it will be announced separately via the Government-wide point of entry.
