Scope of Work
The contract work consists of a base bid to place approximately 400,000-600,000 cubic yards of beachfill in the Borough of Avalon and 200,000-400,000 cubic yards in the Borough of Stone Harbor, along the Atlantic Ocean coastline. The base project covers approximately 6,300 feet in Avalon and 14,100 feet in Stone Harbor.
Up to six separate options may be awarded for additional beachfill: three options for Avalon (50,000, 100,000, and 200,000 cubic yards) and three for Stone Harbor (50,000, 100,000, and 200,000 cubic yards). The project may also include the construction or repair of pedestrian, vehicle, and handicap dune crossovers. Beachfill material must come from authorized borrow areas near Townsends Inlet and Hereford Inlet.
