This document is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for a Brand Name or Equal Fisher Scientific X4TR TX1000CC Centrifuge with Cell Culture Package and Adapters. The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) is procuring this item.

• Centrifuge Specifications:

  • Refrigerated, countertop model.
  • Operates on 120V power.
  • Capable of maintaining temperatures at or below 20°C (ideally 10°C).
  • Compatible with both fixed-angle and swinging bucket rotors.
  • Relative Centrifugal Force (RCF) of at least 4000xg.

• Rotors and Adapters:

  • Includes a swinging bucket rotor compatible with standard 15mL and 50mL centrifuge tubes.
  • Includes adapters for sample vessels of at least 500mL.
  • Specific adapters required: one (1) 500mL Swing Bucket Rotor Adapter and one (1) 250mL Swing Bucket Rotor Adapter.

• Cell Culture Package: Includes the centrifuge, a rotor, Thermo Scientific ClickSeal Biocontainment Lids, and four (4) 15 mL and 50 mL conical tube adapters.

• Warranty: 5 Year Limited Warranty.

• Contract Type: Award will be made using policies in the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 13.5 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items.

• Delivery: FOB Destination to the Department of Interior, USGS Research Lab 6, 3125 Marine St., Boulder, CO 80303-1290.

• Delivery Date: On or before 06/01/2026.

• Submission Deadline: Quotes must be received by 12:00 PM (MS) on May 11, 2026.

• Submission Method: Quotes must be submitted electronically via email to Kekila_Keuma@ios.doi.gov.

• Evaluation: Award will be made to the lowest priced, technically acceptable offeror. Offerors must provide technical brochures or specifications demonstrating that the proposed equipment meets or exceeds the minimum characteristics. Authentic, manufacturer-certified/warranted products in original packaging are required.
