Quick Summary

The Department of the Army's CPE CBRND (formerly JPEO-CBRND) and JPM CBRN Protection team are hosting an Industry Day and issuing a Request for Information (RFI) for Biocontainment, Isolation, and Quarantine (BIQ) requirements. This includes the Biological Containment Isolation System (BCIS), Portable Patient Transport System (PPTS), and Shipboard Isolation System (SIS). The event aims to engage industry, conduct market research, and understand current technologies.

Purpose & Scope

This RFI and Industry Day seek to gather information on existing technologies for three critical BIQ systems:

  • Biological Containment Isolation System (BCIS): A field-deployable system to convert positive pressure collective protection tents into negative pressure isolation areas for individuals with highly contagious infectious diseases (HCID). Key features include directional airflow, exhaust filtration, pressure alarms, anterooms, windows, and transportability.
  • Portable Patient Transport System (PPTS): A man-portable system for single, non-ambulatory patient transport, featuring a negative pressure enclosure with battery-powered air filtration, inlet filters, glove ports, pass-thru interfaces, and windows.
  • Shipboard Isolation System (SIS): A rapidly deployable system for temporary isolation of infectious patients in a shipboard environment, including an air filtration system for negative pressure, air changes, and exhaust filtration, with features like inlet filters, glove ports, pass-thru interfaces, and windows.

Industry Day Details

The Industry Day will take place on February 11, 2026, at MLT Solutions, LLC, 16 Center St STE 103, Stafford, VA 22556. There is no cost to attend, but attendees are responsible for travel. A maximum of two attendees per company is permitted, and each individual must register separately. No formal exhibition booths or equipment demonstrations are allowed at the main event.
