The Black Rock Lock is a navigation lock structure on the upper Niagara River in the City of Buffalo, New York. The lock provides safe passage for commercial and recreation boating traffic to bypass the rapids on the Niagara River. The project involves replacing the power feeder to Black Rock Lock (BRL) and removing existing cables. It includes installing necessary components through the roof of a building and connecting them to the current electrical system. Additionally, the work involves, trenching, setting up distribution poles and ensuring they have appropriate safety features. The feeders must also be de-energized, and temporary power must be provided to BRL during the construction period. Firms will be working in a Medium Voltage environment.
