Scope of Work
The contractor will be responsible for loping and scattering live and dead PJ trees with a diameter at root collar height (DRCH) of 6 inches or less, and/or trees 8 feet tall or less. Key requirements include cutting stumps to no more than 4 inches tall, pruning lower branches on remaining live trees to 6 feet or one-third of tree height, and scattering cut material a minimum of 50 feet from roads, trails, and fencelines. Material must be dispersed lightly and evenly, below sagebrush height, with no cut material exceeding 18 inches off the ground. Only hand cutting tools (chainsaws, brush cutters) are permitted; self-propelled cutters/chippers are not allowed. Work will occur on slopes up to 10%, with a minimum 95% of targeted trees required to be cut.
