Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

This contract is for the rental of two (2) Blolite Equipment Units from Prysmian Cables and Systems USA, LLC, to be used for blowing fiber throughout naval vessels. This is a replacement for an expired contract.

The rental includes the following components:

• AC - UNIT (ACUS001)
• BLOWHEAD (BL120002)
• TRIPOD
• 8 FIBER INLET GUIDE (IO80001)
• PAYOFF CASE (POC120001)
• 8 MM OUTLET GUIDE
• 4 FIBER INLET GUIDE (IO4001)

The equipment will ship in three cases of various sizes.

• Repair any Blolite equipment that breaks down and return it to NNSY.

• Code 950 Management will ensure properly trained, licensed, and certified employees operate the Shipboard Blown Optical Fiber System.

• Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) and NAVSEA Badging are required for all contracts.

• Contractors will need to obtain a DBIDS card to access NNSY, following a specific procedure involving SECNAV 5512 forms and sponsor vetting.

• Portable Electronic Devices (PEDs) are addressed, with specific policies on their use within controlled areas. Camera-enabled PEDs are generally allowed in the Controlled Industrial Area (CIA) and Security Islands, but prohibited in Controlled Nuclear Information Areas (CNIAs) and Nuclear Work Areas (NWAs). Unofficial photography, filming, or live streaming is prohibited. Audio recording requires approval.

• Contractors requiring a red NAVSEA badge and access to Restricted Data (RD) must have a final security clearance.

• Access to RD and red NAVSEA badges will be issued in accordance with NAVSEA M-5510.2.

• Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) will be provided by the DoD and must be handled according to specific marking and dissemination controls.

• The Blolite Fiber System needs to ship from Prysmian Group to Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Building 276.
