Scope of Work
This requirement is for the annual supply of three specific boiler water treatment chemicals, to be delivered in equal amounts over 12 months:
- 3150 lb/year of an aqueous solution of alkali salts: A hazy, colorless to yellow liquid with a slight ammoniacal odor. It must contain 7-13% Sodium sulfite, 3-7% Sodium hydroxide, and 1-5% Diethyl ethanolamine. It should be highly corrosive, alkaline (pH 14), with a specific gravity of 1.181, water-soluble, and a boiling point exceeding 212°F (100°C).
- 2700 lb/year of an aqueous dispersion: A transparent, colorless, and odorless liquid, non-viscous to slightly viscous. It must contain no hazardous substances at given concentrations, have an alkaline pH of 11.4, a specific gravity of 1.192, and be completely water-soluble.
- 1180 lb/year of a mixture of inorganic salts: A transparent liquid, light orange to pink-purple, with a sulfurous odor. It should be an aqueous solution containing 15-40% Sodium bisulfite and 3-7% Sodium sulfite. It needs an acidic pH of 5.9, a specific gravity of 1.08, be completely water-soluble, and have an initial boiling point greater than 212°F (100°C).
