Material must be MIL-DTL-12222, Grade 5, with cadmium plating to QQ-P-416, Type II, Class 2 or 3. The unit of issue is EACH, with one additional fastener required for each uniquely identified heat/lot for traceability.
Key Requirements
- Material Certification: Quantitative chemical and mechanical analysis, Liquid Penetrant or Magnetic Particle Inspection, Hydrogen Embrittlement Relief, and Wedge Tensile Tests are required.
