The project involves reforesting approximately 138 acres, specifically 115 acres in the Pleasant Hill Ranger District and 23 acres in the Boston Mountain Ranger District. Key tasks include the full planting of containerized shortleaf pine seedlings with an 8' x 8' spacing. Contractors must use a 4" dibble/"plug cutter" cigar-shaped hollow tip for planting, ensuring roots are not exposed or covered with soil. Unit boundaries will be marked with orange paint, three slash marks at eye level, and a spot at ground level. The contractor is responsible for developing and maintaining a quality control program and providing all necessary personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, and transportation.
