Core services, such as generator PM and repairs, ATS repairs, generator load bank testing, and paralleling switchgear repair, must be performed by the vendor's in-house qualified technicians. Major brands to be serviced include Cummins, Kohler, Caterpillar, Marathon, Detroit Diesel, Asco, Zenith, Russelectric, ONAN, and Generac.

Eligibility & Requirements

Bidders must maintain a primary service facility within 75 miles of the ANL campus and possess an in-house technical support and engineering team (Mechanical & Electrical engineers). The workforce must include at least 30+ generator service technicians, with a minimum of 20 journeyman level and EGSA certified (or equivalent). Vendors must own and maintain load bank testing equipment capable of testing up to 2MW. An onsite response time of 4 hours or less is required for critical system outages. All site visitors must be US citizens and comply with stringent safety and operational protocols, including specific training (e.g., Annual Argonne Contractor Safety Orientation, NFPA 70E, Lock-out Tag-out, OSHA 10) and providing their own arc flash PPE.
