Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To establish an emergency generator and Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) service contract to replace the expiring contract, ensuring critical backup power systems remain in optimal working condition.

• Provide routine preventative maintenance, system testing, and immediate service response to equipment failures on an as-needed basis.

• Services must cover 35 emergency standby generators and 56 automatic transfer switches.

• The vendor must be a full-service commercial provider capable of performing all required maintenance and repair services for major brands, using their own in-house qualified technicians (no subcontracting of core services).

• The vendor must be able to procure original (OEM) replacement parts and troubleshoot using proprietary software for listed brands.

• Maintain a primary service facility within 75 miles of the ANL campus.

• Provide an onsite response time of 4 hours or less for critical service requests involving a system outage.

• Core services to be performed in-house: generator preventative maintenance & repairs, ATS repairs, generator load bank testing, paralleling switchgear repair.

• All site visitors must be US citizens with acceptable identification.

• Required Training: Annual Argonne Contractor Safety Orientation (CSO), NFPA 70E (within last three years), Lock-out Tag-out (within last three years), Building Specific Training, OSHA 10 for ESH Rep & technician.

• Vendor must provide their own arc flash PPE.

• Vendor must provide Argonne Contractor Safety Orientation training materials.
