Scope of Work
The selected contractor will be responsible for furnishing approximately 80% standard-size and 20% large-size braille mailing containers. Key requirements include:
- Manufacturing containers in accordance with Attachment J1 - Braille Volume Mailing Container Requirements.
- Applying all specified preprinted text and/or imaging.
- Producing and submitting schematic drawings in PDF format for approval.
- Developing and submitting preproduction control samples (10 total: 5 standard, 5 large) for NLS inspection and testing.
- Proceeding to full production only upon written approval from the Library, ensuring all units conform to approved samples and specifications.
- Ensuring containers are labeled, palletized, and shrink-wrapped for shipment, adhering to specific packaging and marking requirements.
Contract Details
- Type: Single-Award, IDIQ, Firm-Fixed-Price.
- Value: Minimum $25,000.00, Maximum $600,000.00.
- Period of Performance: Base Year (July 21, 2026 - July 20, 2027) and one Option Year (July 21, 2027 - July 20, 2028) for containers. Schematics Development period ends July 21, 2027.
- Set-Aside: Unrestricted.
- Warranty: 12 calendar months from acceptance for defects in workmanship and construction.
