• Brand Name Requirement: Leica brand equipment is specified due to the inability to interconnect other brands, the effort required to mix brands, and limited customer support for other brands in the Pacific Northwest.

• Interoperability: The proposed Leica iCON equipment must transmit positional data for real-time reference by other receivers. The agency's current equipment is Leica, and its proprietary data structure necessitates Leica-specific equipment for interoperability.

• Ancillary Equipment: Ancillary items like poles, batteries, and chargers are often not interchangeable between brands. Existing Leica equipment requires compatible ancillary parts.

• Training & Support: Using the same equipment brand simplifies training and support for agency inspection staff.

This solicitation is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for Leica iCON GNSS Equipment Packages and peripheral services.
