Scope of Work

The requirement involves the repair and servicing of the Breathing Air System located in Building 515 at Joint Base Charleston - Air Base, SC. Services will be performed on existing Gardner Denver VS50 Breathing Air Compressors and DBS205 Breathing Air Dryer/Purifiers within the Corrosion Control Facility. Key tasks include:

  • Replacing four (4) coolers for the breathing air compressors (two for compressor #1, two for compressor #2).
  • Performing preventative maintenance on compressor number two only.
  • Removing existing equipment, purchasing, installing, and modifying new equipment as specified.
  • Replacing specific items such as VS-50 NON-OEM Coolers (P/N GI 00007946), a 4000 Hr KCK4210 Maintenance Kit, a 4000 Hr GDBS205 Maintenance Kit, MLS3903 Cartridges, and Filter Elements 6526.
  • The contractor must provide all supervision, labor, materials, tools, and equipment, including necessary assembly hardware and expendables.
  • All repairs and modifications must be performed by qualified/certified mechanics experienced with the equipment.
  • Coolers must meet minimum specifications, including specific dimensions, tubing, fins, casing, and connector requirements.

Performance Standards

Contractors are required to employ a commercial quality control program to ensure services meet contract requirements and prevent reoccurrence of defects.

Services will be performed at Joint Base Charleston, SC, during the 437 MXS hours of operation (6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday), unless otherwise notified.
