Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To remove and replace the existing flat roof system on Building 3 (The Barn) at the Biosciences Research Laboratory, Fargo, ND.

• Remove and dispose of the existing roof system down to the structural decking.

• Install new R-35 insulation.

• Install a new 5/8" exterior grade coverboard, adhered.

• Install a new 60 mil EPDM roof system, mechanically attached.

• Install walking pads around the chiller and air handlers.

• Install new sheet metal and flashing, including a perimeter gutter system.

• Repair existing and replace damaged PVC piping and supports.

• Daily cleanup of the work area.

• Provide a portable toilet for contractor staff.

• The new roof system must achieve an R-value of 35.

• Provide a 20-year NDL (No Dollar Limit) roof warranty.

• Provide a 2-year contractor's warranty on installation.

• The period of performance is 120 days from the date of notice to proceed.

• Location: Biosciences Research Laboratory, 1616 Albrecht Blvd N, Fargo, ND 58102.

• Contractor personnel must comply with USDA facility security requirements, including obtaining permission from the ARS Location Manager and wearing contractor-issued identification badges.

• Submittals required include: RFIs, requests for substitution, shop drawings, safety plan, product data, samples, design data, manufacturer's instructions, field reports, and closeout submittals.

• Original roof blueprints are available on-site for review (prior appointment required).

• A laydown area will be provided and marked for contractor access and use.
