Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

This document outlines the Statement of Work (SOW) for a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) to provide Translation and Interpretation Services and Equipment.

• The contractor shall perform written and verbal translation services between English, Portuguese, and Spanish.

• Services include translating various document types (technical papers, legal documents, regulations, laws, correspondence) and performing consecutive and simultaneous interpretation.

• The contractor must possess fluent written and spoken command of the required languages, including specialized terminology and cultural knowledge.

• Interpretation services may involve informal situations, in-depth professional exchanges, diplomatic protocol, and negotiation support.

• The contractor is responsible for transportation to and from locations in Brazil.

• The government will supply some materials and equipment; the contractor will supply others as listed in Attachment 2.

• All required services must be performed.

• No more than one customer complaint is received per month.

• The contractor is responsible for quality control to meet contract standards.

• Services are to be provided in all locations in Brazil.

• Contractor must obtain all necessary permits, licenses, and appointments.

• All information furnished or developed is considered privileged; no public announcements are permitted.

• Contractor employees must maintain satisfactory standards of competency, conduct, cleanliness, appearance, and integrity, using politeness and courtesy.

• Invoices must be sent via email to BrasiliaDBO@state.gov and include an itemized list of ordered items.

• Payment will be made via EFT up to 30 days after service completion and valid invoice receipt.

• The contractor is responsible for transportation and accommodation costs if applicable (Table 3).
