Purpose
This Sources Sought is for market research purposes only to obtain a list of capable vendors for an expedited requirement. The objective is to procure an additional backup power source for infrastructure support at 460 CES.
Scope of Work
The requirement is for the rental of a 1000 kW (1MW) mobile diesel generator for an initial 30-day period, with an option to extend for an additional 30 days. This includes all necessary additional equipment for operation.
Performance Requirements
- Generator: Diesel-fueled, 480-volt, 3-phase power at 60 Hz with telemetry, rated for 1600 amperes. Must NOT include WiFi, Bluetooth, or GPS capabilities.
- Cables: Necessary cable tails (male and female, single conductors) are required. 300ft of 20-0000 AWG cables with Camlock Connection (seven per phase plus three grounds) are required, rated to 600V.
Special Requirements
- The contractor must place, install, and service the unit.
- The contractor must decommission and retrieve the generator at contract completion.
- Adherence to all 460th Security Forces Squadron (SFS) protocols and standards for installation access is mandatory.
- Items will be accepted and inspected by government officials upon delivery.
