Scope of Work

The contractor will furnish and install new furniture for 144 bedrooms in Dormitory 640, a three-floor facility. This includes the removal and disposal of existing furniture off-base. Key items required are:

  • 144 XL Twin beds with fixed frames and mattresses
  • 148 Two-drawer dresser/wardrobes
  • 148 Desks
  • 148 Dining Chairs
  • 76 Dining Tables

All bedroom items must be matching sets. Furniture must be of solid construction, fully assembled, and made from solid oak for all exposed finished surfaces, with no upholstered components, manufactured wood (MDF, particle board, etc.), plywood, or veneer on exposed surfaces. Mattresses must be Twin XL, innerspring, heat-sealed, navy blue, and impervious to bodily fluids. Installation must be coordinated with the Unaccompanied Housing Management Office, with same-day removal and installation per room to minimize resident disturbance.

Submission & Evaluation

Proposals must include a detailed plan for disposal of removed furniture/waste, a delivery/storage plan for new furnishings, and pictures of proposed furniture pieces.

Key Requirements & Clarifications

  • Delivery vehicles are subject to a 13' 6" height restriction at the commercial gate, and drivers may require background checks for base access. A government escort will be provided.
