To provide Architect/Engineer (A/E) design services for the "Renovate Annex and Relocate 3D Mammography" project at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center.

This multi-phased project involves renovating approximately 8,750 square feet of existing space in two areas within the hospital's Basement level. The A/E will provide comprehensive architectural and engineering services, including interior design, electrical, technology, mechanical, plumbing, medical gas, fire alarm, fire protection, medical equipment planning, imaging shielding, physical security, and structural upgrades.

Key tasks include:

• Programming and site investigation.

• Engaging a certified medical equipment planner to validate VA Technical Information Library (TIL) requirements.

• Engaging a certified medical imaging equipment shielding consultant.

• Engaging a third-party Master System Integrator (MSI) with experience in building management systems.

• Engaging a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) for material and/or air sampling.

• Developing construction documents for bidding, including technical specifications, cost estimates, and consulting services.

• Providing Part Two Services (Construction Period Services), which includes responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals and shop drawings, conducting site visits, and preparing punch lists and record drawings.

• The A/E must adhere to VA TIL standards and requirements.

• Designs must be independent of any future construction projects and not include separately procured furniture and equipment, except as specified.

• The A/E must coordinate with the VA commissioning agent and an independent life-safety reviewer.
