Scope of Work
The contractor will be responsible for the design, manufacture, and performance of the CABLE ASSEMBLY,SPEC, adhering to specific drawings (e.g., 5854902, cage 53711) and standards. Key requirements include:
- Marking: In accordance with MIL-STD-129.
- Configuration Control: Per MIL-STD-973, including procedures for Engineering Change Proposals, Deviations, and Waivers. Contractors must notify the PCO if using a later drawing revision status from a prior contract.
- Mercury Free: Strict prohibition of metallic mercury and contamination for items intended for submarines/surface ships, unless written approval is obtained from the Procurement Contracting Officer.
- Quality Assurance: Contractor is responsible for all inspection requirements and must maintain a quality system acceptable to the Government, in accordance with ISO 9001. Records of inspection must be kept for four years.
- Packaging: In accordance with MIL-STD 2073.
