Quick Summary
The U.S. Government, specifically the FEDERAL PRISON SYSTEM / BUREAU OF PRISONS (USP CANAAN), is conducting market research through a Request for Information (RFI) to identify highly qualified SBA certified entity-owned 8(a) firms for the removal and replacement of approximately 2000 linear feet of concrete flatwork at USP Canaan in Waymart, PA. This RFI is for planning purposes only and is not a Request for Proposal (RFP). Responses are due by May 6, 2026.
Scope of Work
This opportunity seeks firms capable of performing the removal and replacement of approximately 2000 linear feet of concrete flatwork along the taut wire fence at USP Canaan. The scope includes furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, tools, supervision, and services. Contractors will also install stone for drainage between existing and new concrete and must reference FBOP Technical Design Guidelines and drawings. A key objective is to identify an entity-owned 8(a) partner capable of self-performing a minimum of 40% of the overall work using its own workforce, with a bonafide place of business within 100 miles of Waymart, PA.
