DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
The project site is located on the east coast of Florida in Brevard County near the towns of Cape Canaveral, Cocoa, Cocoa Beach, and Merritt Island. Canaveral Harbor maintenance dredging will require removal of shoal material from identified dredging areas shown on the plans. Shoal material removed from the sediment trap and between Stations 150+00 Station 182+24 of Cut-2 will be placed in the nearshore placement area. Material removed from all other dredging areas will be placed in the ODMDS. Project work also includes endangered species observers, turbidity monitoring and stand by time.
The anticipated Period of Performance is 220 calendar days from issuance of Notice to Proceed.
PROPOSAL REQUIREMENTS:
The Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued on or about 14 December 2018 and bids will be due on or about 30 January 2019.
NAICS Code 237990, size standard $27.5 million.
Magnitude of construction is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00.

NOTES:
1. The use of hopper dredges is prohibited.
2. The Seagoing Barge Rules (46 USC 2101 et seq.) apply to this project. The contractor, upon the request of the Contracting Officer, shall be required to submit evidence of U.S. Coast Guard certification. Failure to produce the certificate within the requested time may be cause for determining the offeror non-responsible.
