Quick Summary
The Department of the Interior (DOI), on behalf of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Cancer Institute (NCI), Center for Biomedical Informatics Information Technology (CBIIT), has issued a sole source Request for Quote (RFQ) for the Cancer Research Data Commons (CRDC) Data Discovery Portal. This requirement is for Jataware Corp. (UEI: XM8DC8MEXQ41) to develop, deploy, and maintain the portal using their BeakerHub Platform. Quotes are due June 10, 2026, at 10:00 AM Eastern Time.
Scope of Work
The primary objective is to develop, deploy, and maintain a comprehensive CRDC Data Discovery Portal. Key aspects include:
- Developing the portal using Jataware's BeakerHub Platform.
- Integrating features from BeakerHub with traditional data exploration methods.
- Leveraging CRDC ecosystem data resources, including the CDA search database and API.
- The initial phase (MVP) will focus on exploring and analyzing data from CRDC data commons, with CDA as the primary metadata source. Accessing controlled-access data is out of scope for the MVP.
- Future work includes developing a faceted search portal and transitioning the BeakerHub platform to an NCI-hosted environment.
- The portal must comply with FISMA Low security requirements initially and Section 508 accessibility standards.
- Operations and Maintenance (O&M) will cover performance monitoring, corrective/preventive maintenance, and enhancement support.
