Quick Summary
The Department of the Army has issued a Commercial Solution Opening (CSO), Area of Interest (AoI) 001, seeking innovative solutions for an Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV). This UGV is intended for "last tactical mile" sustainment (delivering supplies/energy) and Casualty Evacuation (CASEVAC) for maneuver formations. The CSO aims to rapidly procure critical technologies under DFARS Subpart 212.70. Phase 1 solution briefs are due by April 28, 2026, at 5:00 PM ET.
Scope of Work
The Army requires a dual-use UGV capable of:
- Sustainment: Delivering essential supplies and energy to maneuver formations.
- CASEVAC: Autonomously transporting at least two (2) casualties from the point of injury to a collection point without causing additional harm.
- Configurability: Featuring a configurable payload and modular cargo area with accessible power and data connections.
- Autonomy & Navigation: Capable of autonomous navigation across diverse terrains, including GPS-denied environments, and supporting situational awareness.
- Communications: Maintaining reliable beyond-line-of-sight communications with supported units.
- Integration: Supporting integration with networked operational environments and current/future command and control systems, providing open APIs.
- Stealth: Minimizing detectable signatures and emissions during operations.
Contract Details
This is a CSO AoI, not an obligation to extend a request or make an award. The overall CSO is open for potential awards through April 15, 2031.
