Quick Summary
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Cancer Institute (NCI) Center for Cancer Research (CCR) Microscopy Core requires one Carl Zeiss Lattice SIM5 super-resolution light microscope and associated supplies. This is a non-competitive solicitation (Notice of Intent), with the intent to award a Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order to Carl Zeiss Microscope, LLC. The microscope is crucial for advancing cancer research by enabling high-resolution imaging of molecular interactions in live cells. Proposals are due by April 22, 2026, at 10:00 AM Eastern Standard Time.
Scope of Work
The NCI CCR Microscopy Core needs the Zeiss Lattice SIM5 to enhance its capabilities for super-resolution fluorescence microscopy, supporting over 45 labs/branches annually. The microscope must include a high-speed lattice SIM5 scanner, dual high-sensitivity sCMOS cameras with Duolink configuration, four high-power lasers (405, 488, 561, 647 nm), a 500 um Piezo stage, stage-top incubation for live cell imaging, and both high numerical aperture oil and water immersion objective lenses. This will allow for imaging complex samples and functional live cell SIM imaging on larger biological samples.
