Quick Summary
The U.S. Air Force (421st SCMS) is conducting a Sources Sought / Market Research effort to identify potential sources for the Spares Procurement of CASE AND VANE ASSEM (NSN: 2840016873807PR, P/N: 2215M15G05). This is to determine the best acquisition strategy, including whether the effort can be competitive or a Small Business Set-Aside. Responses are requested by April 10, 2026.
Scope of Work
This effort seeks manufacturers capable of producing the specified item, including component parts, inspection, testing, preservation/packaging, and shipping. Responsibilities may extend to supply chain management, logistics planning, forecasting production requirements, managing diminishing manufacturing sources, and shipping serviceable assets. Potential sources may also be responsible for nonrecurring engineering costs. The estimated spares requirement is for April 30, 2027, and this is a new spares buy without a repair requirement.
Technical Data & Qualification
Potential sources are REQUIRED to complete a Source Approval Request (SAR) package as specified in the Qualification Requirements (QR) for this item. Manufacturing Qualification Requirements (MQR) and Engineering Data List (EDL) may be embedded or attached; if an EDL is absent, sources must independently acquire necessary technical data. Requests for Engineering Drawings should be submitted via email to ocalc.lgldo.public@us.af.mil. SAR package submission is via DoD SAFE (https://safe.apps.mil/).
Submission & Evaluation
Interested sources must select "ADD ME TO INTERESTED VENDORS" to participate and submit responses by April 10, 2026. The government is interested in all business sizes, including Large Business, Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Businesses, 8(a)s, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, HUBZone Businesses, and Women-Owned Small Businesses. Specific business information (Company Name, Address, CAGE Code, size status, etc.) is requested in Part I of the response. This is not a solicitation, and no funds are available for this market research effort.
