The vendor must also provide maintenance, customer support for technical issues, and security patch updates throughout the contract period. The software is mandated by the GAO, is Section 508 compliant, and compatible with IRS network security requirements, being considered mission-critical by the CFO staff.

Submission & Evaluation
This notice serves as an intent to award sole source, but also functions as a Request for Quote (RFQ) under a Total Small Business Set-Aside. Potential sources and interested parties who believe they can provide equivalent services are invited to submit a capability package or quote.

- Requirements: Submissions must demonstrate how the company can provide the same functionality as Caseware IDEA. Quote submittals must include solicitation number, Entity UEI Number, applicable discounts, and POC information.
- Evaluation: Information received will be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. For quotes, award will be based on FAR 13.106-1(b), evaluating the most advantageous proposal considering price and other factors without discussions.
- Note: The Government will not cover costs for information submitted.

Caseware USA Inc. is identified as the sole source provider due to proprietary and patented hardware, software, and algorithms, and no longer uses third-party resellers. The software is currently in use by the IRS.
