Scope of Work
The contractor shall provide qualified individuals to:
- Lead and support Catholic religious services, including weekly Sunday Mass, special services (e.g., Ash Wednesday, Christmas, weddings, funerals), and Holy Day of Obligation Masses.
- Recruit, organize, train, and equip volunteers for the Catholic Service Choir.
- Coordinate with the Catholic chaplain for service planning and music acquisition.
- Provide instrumental accompaniment, primarily piano, and lead/recruit instrumental volunteers.
- Manage music equipment, conduct weekly rehearsals, and ensure facility security.
- Comply with Air Force instructions, including background checks for personnel working with children and OPSEC training.
- Total required hours are 420 annually.
Personnel Qualifications
Individuals must be 18 years of age with a high school diploma, possess at least 2 years of experience as a church music director or worship leader in a Catholic setting, play piano skillfully, and provide a letter of reference from a Catholic Priest. Knowledge of Catholic Service Music and the ability to work cooperatively in an interfaith setting are essential. Mandatory background checks apply for those working with children.
