Quick Summary

The Department of the Air Force, specifically Space Base Delta 1 (SBD 1) in Colorado Springs, CO, is soliciting proposals for Roman Catholic Priest Services. This Total Small Business Set-Aside opportunity requires a priest to serve the Catholic community at SBD 1, Schriever SFB, and Cheyenne Mountain SFS. The contract will be a Firm Fixed-Price (FFP) purchase order, awarded on a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) basis. Proposals are due by March 31, 2026.

Scope of Work

The selected contractor will serve as the Roman Catholic Priest, responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating activities for the Catholic community. Key responsibilities include:

  • Presiding at all required Catholic liturgical, worship, and religious rites/activities, including two weekly masses, sacraments (reconciliation, baptisms, weddings, annulments, funerals, last rites), and special services for Lent, Advent, Christmas, and Holy Days.
  • Providing pastoral counseling and guidance for Catholic Religious Education programs.
  • Attending chapel staff and Catholic Parish Advisory Council meetings.
  • Maintaining sacramental records and coordinating fund purchases.
  • Responding to emergency calls within one hour.
  • The role is approximately 25 hours per week, not to exceed 125 hours per month, with flexibility for peak weeks.

Contract Details

  • Contract Type: Firm Fixed-Price (FFP) Purchase Order
  • Set-Aside: Total Small Business Set-Aside (FAR 19.5)
  • Product/Service Code: G002 - Chaplain Services
