Special Requirements & Security
Contractor personnel will have frequent and unsupervised contact with inmates and must adhere to all institution regulations for safety, custody, and conduct. This includes attending an Institution Familiarization Orientation, undergoing a complete background investigation (NCIC check, fingerprinting, law enforcement checks, employment verification), and recurring investigations every five years. A badge and sign-in/out procedures are required. Contractor personnel must also attend a four-hour institution orientation course and annual refresher training, with costs for staff training being the contractor's responsibility. Adherence to the Privacy Act of 1974 and DOJ security protocols is mandatory.
