Scope of Work
This RFQ requires the de-installation of existing Chromophare D300 ceiling-mounted exam lights and the provision and complete installation of new, equivalent ceiling-mounted exam lights in the Emergency Department (ED) exam rooms. Key requirements include:
- De-installation of current lights and verification of structural support.
- Provision and installation of new exam lights, including necessary labor, structural work, steel work, and electrical components.
- Collaboration with VAPHI Facilities for electrical requirements and cable pulling by certified technicians.
- Compliance with VHA Directive 7715, Safety and Health Drug Construction, and VA recognized healthcare accreditation standards, including infection control efforts, pre-construction risk assessments (PCRA), and infection control risk assessments (ICRA).
- New lights must be ceiling-mounted, weigh no more than 9kg, have adjustable intensity (at least 5 levels), a maximum of 10 LED bulbs, a minimum light intensity of 80 klux at 1m, a minimum 36-inch vertical adjustment, 100-240 V (AC) power supply, two arms for motion, and a minimum horizontal arm length of 30 inches.
- Compatibility with existing mounting plates is essential (schematics provided).
- A minimum one-year warranty for all parts and associated fees is required.
