Quick Summary
The United States Census Bureau (USCB) is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) to gather market research on industry capabilities for furnishing, delivering, installing, and supporting Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FF&E) for the 2030 Census. This RFI is for planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation. The USCB seeks information from vendors capable of supporting variable quantities and phased delivery across a physical footprint of up to 162 locations nationwide, including Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico.
Scope of Work
The RFI seeks information on providing FF&E for:
- Six Regional Census Centers (RCCs): Approximately 30,000 sq ft each, requiring over 1,200 pieces of furniture.
- Six Census Administrative and Technical Service Centers (CATS): Approximately 25,000 sq ft each, requiring around 1,000 pieces of furniture.
- One hundred and fifty Local Offices (LOs): Approximately 3,500 sq ft each, requiring 225-290 pieces of furniture.
Required FF&E may include desks, chairs, tables, cabinets, shelving, bookcases, files, sofas, and lamps. Rapid delivery and installation are critical, with 45 days' notice for RCCs/CATS and installation within three days of space acceptance. Warranty coverage and a 72-hour on-site response time for repair/replacement are also required.
