Quick Summary
The Naval Medical Research Command (NMRC) intends to award a sole-source contract to Beckman Coulter, Inc. for repair service and preventative maintenance of specific centrifuges. This is a Special Notice indicating an intent for an other than full and open competition award. While not a request for competitive proposals, the Government will consider capability statements from interested parties. The deadline for responses is May 4, 2026, at 6:00 PM ET.

Beckman Coulter, Inc. Life Sciences is identified as the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and the only source capable of providing authorized service technicians for this specialized laboratory instrumentation. Market research conducted in December 2025 found no other sources expressing interest. NMRC has no current plans to compete future contracts for these services but will assess feasibility if other potential sources emerge.
